School aan Zet is a national educational programme participated in by over 3,000 primary, secondary and special-education schools. The organisation’s goal is to improve the quality of education in schools, and it commissioned us to make a film about the value of School aan Zet. The film teaches this value through the eyes of the ultimate ‘customer’, the education professional. The film consists of three portraits of education professionals. Viewers are confronted with the questions that these professionals ask themselves, and the dilemmas they face in their day-to-day work. At the same time, we feel the ambition and the will to improve, not only for themselves, but also to better the pupils and the school.
