Het Groote Museum
For the ARTIS-Groote Museum, BIND, in collaboration with Kossmanndejong as the lead designer for the project, was responsible for the development and realization of the exhibition in the new Artis Museum.
Drawing on Piet Harm’s film expertise, we contributed to shaping the various exhibition zones. Together with a broad team of animators, image researchers, and filmmakers, we produced more than 50 different productions. These video productions are part of the museum’s permanent exhibition.
The Groote Museum is about humanity. Visitors are taken on an emotional expedition through their own bodies, art installations, organic materials, scents, and sounds, prompting them to ask questions such as “Who am I, where do I come from, what does it mean to be human, and am I alone or connected?” Social themes such as circularity, mobility, art, consumption patterns, food, and health are incorporated into the permanent displays, with the human body always as the starting point.
The ARTIS-Groote Museum has been open to the public since May 2022.
